I love the questions this series is able to ask with the way the cultures are defined. The new POV character might just be my favorite one yet! While some of their decisions may be surprising, it’s never out of character and always entertaining. We have some familiar faces and meet some new ones as well, all of which are incredibly well defined and realistic. Once again, the characters are the crux of the narrative and their decisions are the driving force. We get answers that beg more questions in the best way and strengthen the trust between reader and author. We re-join our protagonists in the aftermath of their exciting conclusions from the previous book and learn how they intend to pick of the pieces.Ībdalla does a wonderful job of raising the stakes, both with the characters and the plot. Kicking things off moments after the ending of A Touch of Light, Thiago Abdalla doesn’t waste any time, throwing the reader right back into the chaos. All thoughts and opinions are honest and my own.
